Dent Repair

Simple dent repair is a widely used and successful method of removing blemishes that don't require paint work at an economical price. Specialists use a variety of tools, some looking like spoons to massage the dent back out from the inside of the metal.

Rebadging/Debadging

Some owners remove the plastic 'Boxster' badge on the rear trunk and go without it. First, gently warm up the area with sunshine or a hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Then, using fishing line or dental floss, cut it free using a sawing motion. Finally follow with Goo-Gone to remove any adhesive residue. There will be marks on the paint from the old emblem so it is receommended that you use a gentle polish (especially with a Porter Cable polisher) and then apply a wax.

Others replace it with a "968" badge that can be purchased from Suncoast Porsche and possibly other dealers, switch the numbers around and turn it into 986. It is not known if there is or ever will be a 987 badge. Part number is 9445592200370C.
