Replacing the plastic window

It is reported that many upholstery shops are capable of removing the old plastic window and sewing in new plastic. The top should be inspected carefully to ensure that it is a good candidate for a replacement window; that the canvas is still in good shape. Some upholstery shops warn that the stock window is heat-sealed while any replacement window will be sewn in and the potential exists to leak.
